DIY :: Tissue Pouches

weddings are a time for happy tears. For a past June wedding, my bride wanted to have tissues at the first chair on each row. Of course those plastic little pouches were not my favorite thing to look at so I made little pouches for them. Super cute, and of course useful. Below is the how too instructions.

1. supplies. You will need tissue pack, pinking shears, cotton fabric (this one measured 6 x 9), a pin, an iron, and sewing machine.

2. cut the fabric with pinking shears to give decorative edge. fold over one side 1 inch.

3. iron the one inch flap.

4. repeat on other side. fold over ironed flaps on top and pin.

5. sew 1/4 of an inch on the ends of each pouch.

6. remove pin and insert tissue pouch

7. these ones we added a decorative tag with a rhinestone brad pushed thru the label and pouch.

Home Office Makeover

Let me tell you…this makeover has been a LONG time coming! You know how you have that one room in your house that is a catch all? Mine was my office. I am fortunate enough to have a home studio, a home office and an actual studio space downtown. But, I have a lot of stuff! I open up organizational magazines and dream…oh that could be me some day. I even created a pin board on Pinterest. Well my office has finally gotten the attention it deserved, I was so motivated and thrilled to have this done, I am working on the rest of the house, next up the master bedroom. Oh and please don’t judge me on this before photo, this was right after an event and I literally took everything out of my car and thru it in piles in the office, not its rightful place of storage…the other stuff, I have no answer for;)
